Urban & Community Forestry Grant
Grant funds are provided on a yearly basis by the USDA Forest Service and the program is administered by the Georgia Forestry Commission in cooperation with the Georgia Urban Forest Council. Funding is awarded to communities across the state of Georgia for projects that stimulate and enhance urban and community forest resources.

Eligibility (Back to top)
The following types of organizations are eligible for funding:
- Units of local governments (city, town, county)*
- Nonprofit organizations,
- Educational institutions
- Neighborhood associations
- Civic groups
- Community tree groups
*Units of local government must be a designated Qualified Local Government as outlined in the Georgia Planning Act of 1989.
Grant Workshops (Back to top)
For more information about the grant program and techniques for submitting a successful application, please attend a grant workshop. Workshops will be held at various locations across the state in late March and early to mid April.
