Grant Workshops


The Georgia Forestry Commission is accepting applications for its Urban and Community Forestry Grant Program. Funding is available to local governments, community groups, and non-profit organizations for urban forestry projects such as tree inventories, management plans, professional staffing, advocacy groups and educational programs.

Applications must be submitted by May 9, 2008.

Applicants are encouraged to attend one of the grant workshops listed below. These short workshops will provide additional information about eligible projects and preparing a competitive application.
