Program Overview
The Arbor Day Foundation is providing funding to help landowners in Georgia with tree planting costs. The funds will be used to reimburse forest landowners for the cost of seedlings.

Approved Applicants
Shortly after the signup period ends applicants will be notified of their approval status by email. In the email, approved landowners will receive the total amount of funds obligated to their application, their local forester’s contract information, and required documents for payment (seedling invoice, planting invoice, map). Once tree planting has been completed, the landowner will submit necessary invoices and the tree planting map to the local GFC forester. A GFC forester will visit the site following tree planting to conduct a tree planting performance inspection. The landowner will receive data collected during the inspection and needed forest management recommendations if applicable.
General Guidelines
- Tree species selected should be commercial, native and match the site.
- Planting area must be a minimum of 10 acres.
- Payment limitation of $10,000 per landowner.
- Recipients must plant the trees during the 2024-2025 tree-planting season.
