A Georgia Forestry Commission wildland firefighter suffered serious injuries from a falling tree while working to control a Dade County wildfire last night. The firefighter is in stable condition at a Chattanooga hospital, where he was transported for treatment.
The cause of the wildfire is currently unknown and under investigation. Georgia Forestry Commission wildland firefighters remain on scene to monitor and suppress the fire.
