The Communications Department serves as GFC’s contact for media inquiries. The department directs the agency’s media relations including preparation of press conferences, press releases and advisories, annual reports, newsletters and other GFC publications.

Prescribed Fire Advisories

With proper permitting, prescribed burns are a common occurrence across the state. In some cases, we provide notices for burns that may be larger in scope or in proximity to public spaces. This information is updated regularly.
