Springtime in Georgia is always a sight to behold – even, and especially – in these challenging times. Whether enjoying the outdoor splendor an acceptable social distance from other humans, or just peering out the living room window, nature’s finest is on full display right now. Let’s capture these memorable moments together!

What are you seeing (and hearing) from where you are? Redbuds blooming? Cardinals posing? Weeping willows moving with the breeze? We want to share the beauty you’re enjoying, and we’ll do  that on our Facebook (Georgia Forestry Commission), twitter (@gatrees) and Instagram (gatrees) pages. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday for a while, we’ll post a theme to inspire you. Then you and your kids and all your friends can get busy taking photographs or making artwork to reflect that theme (please observe the recommended social distancing guidelines). Use #SpringIntoAction when you submit your photos and we’ll share your best work with followers of the Georgia Forestry Commission.

There’s never been a better time to appreciate Mother Nature for the natural gifts she provides us every day. An abundance of research now proves what we’ve known innately forever: trees and natural resources improve our health and well-being. Let’s encourage one another by sharing our observations online. We can’t wait to be inspired by you!
